JCDecaux strengthens StreetTalk with two new appointments

08 February 2010

February 2010 Reflecting the success of the StreetTalk brand, JCDecaux is strengthening its sales team with two new senior recruits. James Power joins as Senior Business Development Manager and Richard Mehta as Business Development Manager.

The move follows the expansion of the StreetTalk CTN network and the launch of targeted networks including StreetTalk Pharmacy, StreetTalk Couture and StreetTalk High Street Fashion.

As Senior Business Development Manager, James Power will liaise with Kinetic and IPM and associated agencies. James joins JCDecaux following two years at Forrest Outdoor where he was Sales Director.  Business Development Manager Richard Mehta joins from music magazine, The Fly (part of the Mama Group) where he was Sales Executive. At JCDecaux Richard will liaise with Posterscope and associated agencies.

Spencer Berwin Managing Director – Sales said, “James and Richard will be an invaluable addition to the StreetTalk team, bringing a wealth of experience ideal for this youth-focussed brand. As the UK’s largest outdoor media owner, JCDecaux is continuing to invest in its people and its portfolio.”

James and Richard will report to Lucinda Sharp, Group Head of StreetTalk. The StreetTalk brand has gone from strength to strength, with a 23% increase in the number of brands carried year on year.

Research shows that StreetTalk has emerged as a powerful new medium since its launch in 2007. Research conducted over the course of a year into a major impulse-purchase brand showed that StreetTalk reached 67% of the key 16-34 year old audience, over 10 million young people.
