Diesel utilises OOH in #MakeLoveNotWalls campaign
In its exciting new #MakeLoveNotWalls campaign, leading fashion brand Diesel is using photography and a series of global actions (including the use of Out-of-Home), to create a message of unity.
Iconic American artist and photography David LaChapelle has collaborated with Nicola Formichetti (Diesel’s Artistic Director) for the SS17 global campaign, created by Anomaly Amsterdam.
As part of the campaign’s activation in London, Diesel set up a life-size, rainbow-coloured inflatable tank (a key icon throughout the wider campaign) at JCDecaux’s Covent Garden Seven Dials space on February 14th and then Southbank observation point on the 18th and 19th. Around the tank was the hashtag #MakeLoveNotWalls printed on the floor. The tank will then continue its journey around the world.
Nicola Formichetti said: “At Diesel, we have a strong position against hate and more than ever we want the world to know that love and togetherness is crucial in creating a society we all want to live in, and the future we all deserve.”
Renzo Rosso, Diesel’s founder, said: “From our David LaChapelle campaign featuring two sailors kissing in 1991 until now, Diesel has always and will continue to push boundaries. We need to have the balls to break down barriers in a moment where fear is making the world divided with more walls.”
The experiential campaign was booked through JCDecaux’s Live team and creative will also run across JCDecaux’s LDN network from the 27th February.
